Dr. Ricky Van Matre attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine- Class of 1996. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
Originally from New Orleans but has lived in the Duluth area since 2000. He enjoys spending time with his children, exercising, and competing in triathlons. Dr. Ricky has 2 children Paige and Bryce and two dogs Dude (German Short Haired Pointer) and Manny (Maltipoo).

Special Interest: Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Dermatology

Danny

Technician/Office Manager

Danny is a Duluth native who graduated from Duluth HS in 2006. He began working for SCAH in March 2007.

He has two goldens, Phoenix and Goose, and 5 cats… His hobbies include FSU sports, sports, and more sports!

Daphane

Receptionist/Office Manager

Originally from North Georgia, Daphane began working for SCAH in 2005. She has had a passion for animals since a young girl. Daphane enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies.

Paige

Receptionist

Paige graduated Ole Miss in 2020. She enjoys being with family and friends and her little dog Manny. Paige joined SCAH in 2018.

Karen-Nathaly!

Technician

Karen-Nathaly was born in Quito, Ecuador. Her family moved to Atlanta, GA when she was a toddler. She is 25 years old, and graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She has felt passionate about animals since she was a little girl. She loves having a job where she can care and tend to them properly.

Her baby boy Max is a nervous nelly and couldn’t hold still for our photo shoot. But you can see Scarlett is quite the photogenic kitty.

Bryce

Technician

Bryce is a graduate of PRHS and currently attending Gwinnett Tech. His love for animals started as a child with his dad being a veterinarian.

In his free time he enjoys skateboarding and hanging out with his dog Dude.

JinJoo

Technician

Jinjoo was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to Duluth, GA when she was in third grade. She got her Bachelor’s degree in biology at University of Pennsylvania and is working on her DVM degree at UGA College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 2024!
